このプロジェクトについて :
京都を拠点にするBRDGと、ロンドンDeptfordを拠点にするRabbitによる演劇と音楽の二本立て。どちらもロンドンにかつてあった「117」と呼ばれていた家を題材に創作されており、2016年9月にはこの家があったLewisham通りでロンドン公演を行いました。今回はイギリスからRabbitを迎えての京都凱旋公演。

About this project:　
It is a double bill theatre and music event by Kyoto based theatre group, “BRDG” and Deptford based music duo, “Rabbit”. It tours Stroud, New Cross and Kyoto. Both pieces are based around an old Victorian house which used to exist at 117 Lewisham Way, New Cross, London, and the family which used to live there.

“117 – one one seven”について
京都に1989年から住んでいる、イギリス人女性へのイタビューを元にして作った演劇作品。劇中、俳優は実際のインタビュー音源を聴きながら、それを日本語へと通訳し、彼女の生家である117という家についてと、彼女がどのようにして日本に来たのかを語ります。２つの町を行き来する彼女に焦点を当てながら、国から国へと移動する現代の人々の中に生まれる葛藤や、心情を描き出す「通訳劇」。

About “117 – one one seven”
This is a play based on interviews with a British woman who has been living in Kyoto since 1989. It introduces her life and her old house at 117 Lewisham Way, which used to exist in New Cross, London. During the play, the recorded voices of interviews are played over, and Japanese actors interpret them into Japanese and English. As the play unfolds, this act of “interpreting” transforms into “acting”.

“Ghost House Gone House”について
David Aylward (drums and percussion) と Tom Scott-Kendrick (reeds, strings and electronics) によって撮影された取り壊される直前の117の外観、内観を投影しながら、家でフィールドレコーディングした音を使用する即興ライブ。ロンドン南東部の音楽シーンで80年代半ばから活動してきたRabbitによるライブをお見逃しなく。

About “Ghost House Gone House”
Two simultaneous films documenting 117 Lewisham Way, a Victorian Villa and lost local landmark in the year prior to it’s demolition. The films were shot by David Aylward (drums and percussion) and Tom Scott-Kendrick (reeds, strings and electronics) who will also provide a live soundtrack including field recordings made at 117 Lewisham Way.

Rabbit：
Tom Scott-Kendrick (reeds, samplers etc) とDavid Aylward (drums, percussion etc)による即興デュオ。イギリスロンドンのDeptfordを拠点に、80年代半ばから現代、実験都市フォーク音楽（のようなもの）を演奏し、常に音と音楽との対話を続けながら、異なるジャンルを合体・変異させている。

RABBIT are Tom Scott-Kendrick (reeds, samplers etc) and David Aylward (drums, percussion etc), they have played together since the mid 80’s, a sort of contemporary, experimental urban folk music, merging and mutating genres in an on-going dialogue of sound and music. 

BRDG ：
山口惠子（俳優・演出家）と川那辺香乃（アートコーディネーター）が2011年に立ち上げたユニット。互いがそれぞれ主体となり企画を生み出す場として「BRDG」と名付け、「京都に住む外国人」や「地域×アート」といったテーマに挑み、作品やワークショップ、アートプロジェクトを実施している。ちなみに「BRDG」を山口は「ビーアールディージー」とよび、川那辺は「ブリッジ」とよんでいる。 http://brdg-ing.tumblr.com/
About BRDG ：
Keiko Yamaguchi (director, actor) and Kano Kawanabe (co-ordinator) founded in 2011. Creating works under the theme of “Foreigners in Kyoto”. I“423 (Shitsumi) Art Project” in rural area in Kyoto, where they produce workshops and events for children and local people. http://423art.org/
