Bridget Scott 
A Londoner, residing in Kyoto since 1989.
Performing butoh since 1990, as a group member of Katsura Kan and Saltimbanques until 1994, in a duo with Ken Mai until 2003, and as a solo dancer until now.  
Trained in nihon buyoh (traditional Japanese dance) with Nishikawa Senrei from 2005 until her death in 2012. Continued training with Senrei’s students and recently with Nishikawa Chikage.
Participant in noh workshops with Hirota Senseii and Katsura Kan since 2016. 
Performing with BRDG, a Kyoto based theatre group, since 2013 in Kyoto and in London in 2016.
Recent performances in Kyoto, Osaka, London, Dublin, Wuzhen, Beijing.
Qualified and practicing shiatsu therapist since 2001.
Teacher of English, shiatsu and butoh.

My butoh.
Over time, butoh has become a natural expression of my life. Most of my adulthood has been spent in Kyoto. All of my training in the performing arts has been in Japan. However, I am a Western woman, with a Western mind and a non-Japanese body. So, I have had to find my own way. The gift of butoh is that it allows me to move into undefined space. When I step onto the stage, I feel on the edge of my existence. Everything drops away. I open to the audience and trust my body.

第二次世界大戦中に英国マンチェスターで生まれカナダで育ったオーストラリア、パプアニューギニアに住んでいた
30年前よりの東京を経て京都に移り住む。
映画、テレビ、劇場で40年間働いていました。
私は、フィルム事業から引退し、作曲家を始める、トランペット奏者になりつつ。私の音楽は、多くのジャンルをジャズバンド、ジプシー音楽、フリー·インプロヴィゼーション、モダンで舞踏ダンス音楽カバーなどを手がけている。

Christopher Fryman
Trumpeter, Composer, Improviser, cinematographer.
   Has lived in Japan for 41 years.     Has a career of more than 40 years experience working in tv and film.
The past twenty years have been spent in a variety of music composition and performance using trumpet and electronics.   Genres include jazz band, gypsy music, free improvisation, contemporary dance music,This year I am privileged  to compose a new original piece for Kyoto Brass Band.

2010年から踊りはじめる。kiyamania主宰。近年は音、とりわけビートとの関係の中で動きを紡ぐ。ダンサーのみならず一般向けに空手を母体とした武道である新体道のWSを開催。身体の内と外を耕す場を展開中。来年春kiyamania vol.7を京都市内で上演予定

植田 良太 Bass
1976年京都府生まれ。操体法を学んだことがきっかけでからだの不思議さに目覚め、身体感覚を磨くことを生活の軸に音楽を続けている。近年はベートルズとのDuo等で活動。からだの宇宙研究所pipiki主宰

Frauke 
Through her schooling in Sweden and Japan the butoh dancer and choreographer Frauke (Caroline Lundblad) has developed a “Scandinavian Butoh”. Her exquisite and consistent pieces are created through genre-crossing collaborations and are shaped as complex installations in site specific venues. Frauke has developed a persona with aesthetic and choreographic expressions that combine the qualities of butoh and the contemporary. The Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s International Choreography Grant in 2017 enabled a unique collaboration with the Japanese Noh Master Akio Kasada. Through this collaboration she developed the trilogy Three Bodies with the performances Yama (Mountain, 2017), Umi (Ocean, 2018), and during 2019, the final part Hana (Flower), which is touring in Europe and Asia. During the spring Frauke has been the choreographer of the opera Schlagt sie tot! at Malmö Opera House, Sweden
