1. 桂勘　　舞踏家・振付家,フリーランス　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　

京都生まれ。
1979年に舞踏結社「白虎社」設立に参画、81年よりソロ活動。
86年 マルチナショナル舞踏グループ「桂勘＆サルタンバンク」結成、インドネシア、タイ、シンガポールでの共同制作プロジェクトを国際交流基金の助成のもとに2001年まで数多く行う。舞踏を通じて肉体と風土の有り様を探りながら、舞踏が残した遺産としての技術の探求を共有したいと考えています。

Katsura Kan, a native of Kyoto is a Butoh dance artist from among the ranks of Japan’s ANKOKU Butoh (dance of darkness) generation. Kan is a celebrated solo and collaborative performer as well as choreographer, established his own group “KATSURA Kan & Saltimbanques” in 1986, Kan has worked with what he calls ”minority dancers” all over the world, in remote locations from Africa – Mediterranean – Asia – US – Australia for the past 30 years, in addition to his creative works in cosmopolitan culture, strongly takes an initiative as an international Butoh scene.

2. DU Yufang 杜昱枋

杜昱枋、北京生まれ、北京ダンスアカデミー卒業。
2010年に、桂勘家に師事。
2011年から中国各地でダンスアートプロジェクトを実施し、日本のダンサーやミュージシャンを中国に紹介。
2012年から2013年まで、彼女はSwiss Beachi Cultural Foundationのサポートを受け、ヨーロッパの多くの国々での公演に招聘。
2014年に、ダンスカンパニー “舞踏白狐系”を旗揚げ、中国大陸で初の現代舞踏団の芸術監督として活動。
以後、多くの都市において多文化プロジェクトを企画開催、様々な分野の芸術家を招聘。内外で振付家、ソロイストとして活動。
2015年と2016年の特別招待芸術家として、アメリカ合衆国のスリッパリーロック大学、シャーロットクイーン大学、セントラルピエモンテ大学
で講義、ワークショップの指導、公演。
2016年から、能楽、生花、弓道の勉強を始め、伝統芸術と現代舞台作品の融合に取り組んでいる。彼女は身体の知恵の開拓が教育に資する力を持つと考えています。

 
 DU Yufang 
 
Born and raised in Beijing, Du Yufang received her BA in Arts Communication at Beijing Dance Academy. 
In 2010, she met world-renowned Butoh master Katsura Kan, and he became her Dance mentor.
In 2011 she started producing Butoh events in China and invited many Dancers and musicians from japan.
In 2012~2013, she got the support by Swiss Beachi Cultural Foundation, working among many counties in Europe.
In 2014 she organized “White Fox Butoh”, the first Contemporary Butoh group in Mainland China, working as artistic director. 

In 2015 ~ 2016, Du was invited as guest artist to teach and make Butoh works in Slippery Rock University and Queens University of Charlotte, and Central Piedmont College.
 In 2016, She began to study Noh, Ikebana, Zen Archery in Kyoto, and challenging  the Contemporary Performing Arts with Traditional Arts. She is committed to inspiring education based on the wisdom of the body.

3. Bridget Scott

Bridget Scott, a Londoner, has been residing in Kyoto, Japan for over twenty years. She debuted in 1990 as a member of the butoh group Katsura Kan and Saltimbanques with whom she performed for 5 years, in Japan, Java and Korea. She later studied with Kazuo and Yoshito Ohno and Min Tanaka. Since then Bridget has collaborated with dancers, musicians and artists in Japan, China and Europe and has choreographed solo works. From 2006 she has been training in Nihon Buyoh (traditional Japanese dance) in the Nishikawa lineage. Bridget is also a trained shiatsu therapist. She teaches both shiatsu and butoh classes in Kyoto and workshops elsewhere. 

ロンドン生まれ、日本に20年以上暮らす。1990年、舞踏グループ「桂勘＆サルタンバンク」のメンバーとしてデビュー、5年にわたり日本やジャワ、韓国で活動する。その後、大野一雄、大野慶人、田中泯に学ぶ。日本やヨーロッパのミュージシャン、アーティストとコラボレーションや、ソロ作品の振付も行う。2006年から西川流日本舞踊を学び始める。伝統と即興ダンスのつながりを探求している。また、指圧師でもあり、京都などで指圧と舞踏のクラスをしている。

4. Eric Mullis
Eric Mullis is a Charlotte, N.C.-based dance artist who received an MFA in Dance from the University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee) and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. His current research interests include ecstatic states in charismatic Appalachian Pentecostalism and improvisation across artistic disciplines. Eric is a dance accompanist at the American Dance Festival and at the University of North Carolina (Charlotte), he curates an independent performance series in Charlotte and has recently shown work in the North Carolina Dance Festival, the Midwest Alternative Performance Festival, the Richmond Dance Festival, and at the University of Malta. Eric currently teaches philosophy at Queens University of Charlotte and has published essays on dance in Dance Research Journal, Performance Philosophy, Dance Research, Dance Chronicle, and the Journal of Performing Arts and Digital Media and is currently writing a manuscript (Pragmatist Philosophy and Dance: Interdisciplinary Dance Research in the American South) for Palgrave-MacMillan’s series on Performance Philosophy.

5. Joy Davis

Joy Davis a dance artist and educator steeped in the practices of Countertechnique, improvisation, and performance. She began studying Countertechnique with founder Anouk van Dijk in 2005 and became one of 4 US Teachers in 2012. Her initiative joyproject produces collaborative dance theater performance since 2006; receiving a Chicago Dancemakers Forum Greenhouse Artist, Choreographic Resident at the Workspace for Choreographers, Choreographer’s Lab Artist with New Dialect (Nashville), NeXt Choreographer for Urbanity Dance (Boston), and choreographic commission by Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Joy and Alexander Davis, The Davis Sisters, were awarded a 2018 Schonberg [Boston] Fellowship for a Creation Residency at The Yard to develop and perform their new work, Junk Drawer. The Davis Sisters recently received the inaugural 2019 Creation Residency at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Joy holds an MFA in Choreography and Performance from Smith College, and has since taught as visiting faculty at Smith College, Wesleyan University and Harvard University. Joy is an Associate Professor of Dance at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

第二次世界大戦中に英国マンチェスターで生まれカナダで育ったオーストラリア、パプアニューギニアに住んでいた
30年前よりの東京を経て京都に移り住む。

映画、テレビ、劇場で40年間働いていました。

私は、フィルム事業から引退し、作曲家を始める、トランペット奏者になりつつ。私の音楽は、多くのジャンルをジャズバンド、ジプシー音楽、フリー·インプロヴィゼーション、モダンで舞踏ダンス音楽カバーなどを手がけている。

The past twenty years have been spent in a variety of music composition and performance using trumpet and electronics.   Genres include jazz band, gypsy music, free improvisation, contemporary dance music,

This year I am privileged  to compose a new original piece for Kyoto Brass Band.

2. 山本公成・ほしこ～プロフィール

山本公成（やまもと　こうせい）
作曲、ソプラノサックス、フルート、磐笛　ネイティブアメリカンフルート、
リトアニアンフレーテ、民俗笛、創作倍音笛
独自の世界を持ち続けるアーティスト。1968年の東京でのデビュー以来イギリス、アメリカ（R、C　Nakaiとのツアー）など各地で活躍。ドイツIC社より[EAST WARD]等４タイトル世界リリース。 自ら主催するPulsejet Labelより[Earth Breeze][月ゆめ]など、10タイトルのCDを発表。 映画音楽、舞踏音楽、NHK音楽番組出演、など活動は多彩である。

3. ほしこ（リトアニア琴　カンクレス）
19歳頃より声楽活動をおこなう、短期大学卒業後社会福祉の道を歩む。 この間クラッシック大曲を中心に活動する合唱団に所属しベートーベン荘厳ミサなど大曲を歌う 2003年リトアニア（バルト三国）への旅で、民衆の平和の魂に触れ感動。 そこで奇跡的に巡り会ったカンクレス（弦楽器）の演奏活動を帰国直後から始める。 現在、山本公成と共に日本各地で演奏活動中。NHKアーカイブス７周年記念コンサート、NHKFM番組出演など活動は多岐に渡る。

4. Takashi MIYAMOTO

Started activities in various indie bands in Tokyo since 1985. In 1995, he formed a jazz rock group, ‘Time Strings Travelers’. released 4 albums . in 2011, it gave rise to activity as a JIGEN-production at the time of CD production labeling, “Kiriku”（Fumihiko Kimura）、”existense” (Shinichi Isohata with Otomo Yoshihide)、 “Hi-no-Tamaki” (Che-shizu)、Nasuno Mtsuru “Rain maker” etc produced and announced. As a leader group, there is a 3 Mirrors (with Fumihiko Kimura, Kazuya Ishigami) etc. There are also improvisation performances by various units, mainly soloists or solo. The first solo album「Polarization」(KYOU-005) is released by KYOU-Record on 2017.

宮本　隆
エレクトリックベース、プロデュース

1985年より東京で様々なインディーズバンドで活動開始。95年、大阪でジャズロックグループ、時弦旅団（Time Strings Travellers）を結成。これまでに4枚のアルバムをリリース。2011年よりＣＤ制作レーベル時弦プロダクションの活動を活発化させ「キリーク」木村文彦、「existense」(磯端伸一with大友良英)、「火の環」（シェシズ）、ナスノミツル「Rain maker」等を製作、発表。リーダーグループとして、時弦旅団、3 Mirrors（with 木村文彦、石上和也）等があり、他に即興を主体とした様々なユニット、あるいはソロでの即興演奏活動も行っている。2017年、きょうレコードより初のソロアルバム「Polarization」(KYOU-005)をリリース。
